Böblingen, January 22, 2024 – With the renaming of the most recent investment Mauermann Arzneimittel GmbH & Co. KG, Wörwag Pharma is taking the next step in integrating the new production site into the group of companies. The site is now called Wörwag Pharma Production GmbH & Co. KG (WPP).
The Wörwag Pharma Group took over its previous contract manufacturer Mauermann in September 2023. The site is located in Pöcking on Lake Starnberg in Bavaria and employs around 60 people.
Wörwag Pharma and the previous owners of what is now WPP, have been working together successfully for over 45 years. Irmgard Becker, Director Global Technical Operations at Wörwag Pharma: "The change of name that has now come into effect also visually signals the integration into the Wörwag Pharma Group. From now on, together with our first own production site Wörwag Pharma Operations in Poland, we can optimally utilize two locations to supply our markets."
WPP maps common production processes for solid oral dosage forms – including granulation, drying and coating through to packaging. The manufacturing processes are accompanied by quality control, including by the in-house laboratory, from incoming goods inspection to final product release.
